Enon Xenia Road Closure

Enon-Xenia Road construction between Mud Run Creek south of Hunter Road and Green Vista Drive will begin Monday, January 9, 2023, and will continue approximately 10 months, broken into five (5) phases as follows: Phase 1 – January 9, 2023During this phase of construction, the contractor will close the road south of Rebert Pike to through traffic until May 31, 2023 and establish a detour route. The contractor will perform all work south of Rebert Pike including installation of the new storm sewer and drainage structures, sanitary sewer work, and roadway and shared-use path construction. Phase 2-4During this phase of construction, the contractor will install a new water main along the west side of the roadway maintaining one lane traffic northbound while detouring southbound traffic. The contractor will remove the existing water main, storm sewer, and gas line and install new storm sewer trunk line, sidewalk, roadway and driveways. The contractor will then shift traffic maintaining one lane northbound in the southbound lane while detouring southbound traffic to allow for the construction of the remaining storm sewer, curb & gutter, roadway and shared-use path. Phase 5During this last phase, the contractor will re-open the roadway to two-lane, two-direction traffic while performing the final course of asphalt on the roadway and placing permanent pavement markings, RPM’s and signage.
