POLICE CHIEF VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Village of Enon, Clark County, Ohio is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Police Chief. The Police Chief is responsible for the protection of lives and property in the Village of Enon through the supervision of all police functions. This is an excellent opportunity to join our public safety team and make a meaningful impact within the community.
Position: Police Chief Location: Village of Enon, Clark County, Ohio
Population: 2,449 (2020)
Responsibilities:
- Organizes, directs, and controls all resources of the Police Department
- Develops an organizational structure based on professional standards and sound span of control principles.
- Administers the Department’s fiscal affairs and prepares annual budgets to present to the Mayor and Village Council.
- Develops and conducts an effective and professional public relations program.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of diverse experience as a police officer, including supervisory or leadership experience. (Additional years of specialized assignments/details may be considered as experience.)
- Associate's degree in criminal justice or related field. (Additional years of experience may be substituted for educational requirements).
- Current Ohio Police Officer Certification
Salary: $60,000 - $82,000 per year. (Based upon experience)
